Product Description:
Clos du Mont-Olivet is a wine producer located in the southern Rh么ne appellation of Ch芒teauneuf-du-Pape. It has been producing red and white wines from the region since 1932. The estate is owned by the Sabon family and is managed by third-generation family members Celine, David and Thierry Sabon.
The estate covers just under 50 hectares (120 acres) of vineyard land across the southern Rh么ne, and primarily bottles wines from the appellations of Ch芒teauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, C么tes du Rh么ne, and Vin de France. Across the appellations, the estate boasts 21 hectares (52 acres) in Ch芒teauneuf, 14 hectares in Lirac, 10 hectares (25 acres) in the C么tes du Rh么ne, as well three hectares (seven acres) in the wider Gard IGP.
The terroir at each vineyard varies greatly and soils range in composition from clay and sandstone to quartzite deposits and sand. The variety of sites allows Clos du Mont-Olivet to plant specific grape varieties to preferred plots.
