The 2018 Vinos De Madrid is a killer value based on 100% Garnacha brought up all in concrete. Lots of kirsch, rose petal, and peppery herb notes define the bouquet, and it reminds me of a top Village Red Burgundy with its silky tannins, medium to full-bodied richness, and great finish.

Ancient, head-pruned vines of Garnacha planted in these same soils make for equally transparent wine.
