David Schildknecht - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"An early-bottled, carbonic maceration cuvee of Grenache, Cinsault, and Carignan, Magnon's 2010 La Demarrante is raised in a mix of tank and cask. Effusively redolent of ripe cherry, strawberry, kirsch distillate, marzipan, peony, and lily-of-the-valley-the-valley, this almost confectionary yet buoyant and refreshing cuvee finishes with subtle but invigorating impingement of piquant cherry pit and chewy fruit skin. Magnon is a protegee of the late Marcel Lapierre in ways of which one is regularly reminded, but with this cuvee he has rendered something Beaujolais-like in a more conventional sense. I would serve it lightly-chilled within the next 6-9 months to ward off heat from its 14% alcohol."
