WINE NOTES
Age of vines: 60-70 years. Farming: sustainable. Aging: 10 months in French oak barrels.
The project started in 2010 with the three winemakers of Comando G. With Fernando García (Bodegas Marañones), Daniel Gómez
Jiménez-Landi (Bodegas Jiménez-Landi) and Marc Isart (Bodegas Bernaveleva) arises the project of developing two wines from old Grenache
vines of La Sierra de Gredos. Aged between 50 and 90 years old, 4 farms were selected from 3 different villages to the west of Madrid: Cadalso
de los Vidrios, Cenicientos and Rozas de Puerto Real. The harvest of each property starts at the optimum moment, the earliest being the one of
\"El Hombre Bala\" (from 20 September to mid October), and a little later for \"La Mujer Cañón\" (second half of October). Maceration lasts an
average of 30 days at a low temperature and fermentation is carried out in wooden barrels and vats at a controlled temperature. Finally, the
wine is aged in barrels of different sizes in order to achieve depth, complexity and balance. These are wines that reflect the different characters
of the Grenache grown in the highlands.
