History reveals that Mambourg was already famous for its wines in early 783. The wines of "Sigoltesberg" (the present-day Mambourg) were already celebrated. Many convents and the nobility owned vineyards here and made the famous.Situated in Sigolsheim, clayey-calcareous soil, south exposed, steep slopes, it is one of the most advanced Grand Cru in Alsace.Our Gewurztraminer is powerful, concentrated, without being to heavy. Bottle aging 8-20 years. Exotic and spicy taste.Intense, complex and spicy nose with exotic fruits (mango, litchi) ; aromatic, rich and fleshy mouth, well-balanced, racy and nice persistency, with some tannins. Winery
