The 2017 Chenin Blanc is one of the most expressive wines in the Lieu Dit range. Perfumed, generous and inviting, the 2017 has so much to offer. The Chenin emerges from Happy Canyon Vineyard, where the first Chenin was planted in an appellation that is better known for its Bordeaux varieties. Justin Willett fermented the 2017 in stainless steel and aged the wine in neutral oak.
Product Description:
A combination of tank and barrel fermentation was used to produce our Chenin Blanc. The wine then spent seven months in neutral French oak and was racked to stainless steel prior to bottling. Once pressed, the juice is then tank fermented using only native yeast. The wine overwinters in neutral oak barrels, building complexity, definition and verve. In the spring, the wine is racked back to a stainless tank prior to bottling, resulting in a fresh, mouthwatering wine. - Winery
