The nose is flattering, with typical notes of Chardonnay such as lemon, pineapple, and especially mango, heightened by butteriness from its oak barrel aging. Aromas of red berries such as blackcurrant and raspberry, typical of Pinot Noir, can also be detected, along with scents of liquorice. The vinosity of the wine on the nose is echoed on the palate by the presence of Pinot Noir, which lends a velvety, unctuous smoothness to the finesse, freshness and minerality of the Chardonnay.
