Vaillons means "little valley" and is a top Premier Cru - offering some of the greatest value - in all of Chablis. It sits on the left bank of the Serein River, faces south/southeast and has an abnormally high percentage of Kimmeridgian soil, the ancient limestone and clay mix that makes Chablis so unique. Combine this ideal terroir with Lionel's no-frills approach to winemaking (stainless steel tanks, indigenous yeasts, cold ferments, etc.) and you get nearly flawless, pinpoint precise, delicious Chablis!
