The 2021 Chardonnay Terraces is designed block by block from the estate to achieve elegance and finesse, fermented on native yeasts in neutral and new French oak. It has a touch of saline and iodine atop a richness of lemon custard, and its grippy intensity is bolstered by duly complex tannins, which need more time to unfold. This is a highly lengthy, medium-bodied, and engaging wine that should go another 15-20 years.

Hailing exclusively from the upper elevation T Block, the 2021 Chardonnay Terraces offers the most multidimensional and age-worthy expression of Eden Rift Chardonnay. The nose exudes a confident, focused persistence to its bouquet, composed of citrus peels, orchard fruits and crushed stones with less reductive qualities than the Estate bottling. The palate is silky and spry yet maintains a lush, layered power. It concludes with a phenolic, grippy and intense finish and should develop well in the cellar over the next 5-7 years.
