About

Ratings:

95

"From Stella Bella's vineyards in the cool south of Margaret River. Bright straw-green; the aromatic flowery bouquet and delicate fruit on entry into the mouth is quickly changed by the intensity, grip and length of the back-palate and finish; the acidity is balanced, and of critical importance. A wine certain to age with majestic grace, a prediction reinforced by its development over 2012." (07/13)

90 Wine Spectator

"Fresh and vibrant, with layered pear, almond, floral and spice flavors that come together seamlessly on the refined, expressive finish. Drink now through 2019. 3,000 cases made. -HS" (06/13)

90 Wine Enthusiast

"This wine's subtle underpinnings of smoke, toasted hazelnuts and baking spices add layers of interest to the melon and citrus fruit. This is medium to full bodied and just a bit creamy on the palate, making it a nicely balanced, all-around solid Chardonnay for drinking over the next few years. -JC" (09/13)

Product Description:

Both the Wine Spectator and James Halliday are raving. Without question, this is a tremendous option for Chardonnay fans around the world!

This is going to be it. We know just about every year many of you not only stock up on some of your favorite wines each year, but also go off the beaten track here and there and try a few names you might not have heard of in the past.

All of this is for one reason of course. To try and find that unbelievable value that flies super under the radar. The wine that not everyone knows about. The wine that you can show to family and friends and watch them smile, nod, and ask you where you found it.

This is that wine.

It's the same reaction our Australian wine buyer had after tasting this wine for the first time. He wasn't alone. Not only did the Wine Spectator issue high praise here, James Halliday also followed with an incredible 95 point score.

Margaret River is a tremendous spot for Chardonnay. An area that we are sure many of you will seek out even more after you take just one sip of this effort. The price point here is much lower than you might expect when you see other offers on the market ... just another reason why this is just such a great deal. Stock up while you can. Without question, this is a tremendous Chardonnay ... and one that you will enjoy all year long!

Wine:
"Brilliant pale lemon with green highlights. The bouquet has a panoply of scents of great intensity and complexity - there is an interplay of the aromatic notes of white flowers, anise and lemon curd with the deeper notes of spicy oak, some yoghurt‐like nuances and a hint of struck match. The deft palate shows both restraint and power. Taut citrus, pear and briny/mineral elements build in the mouth and meld perfectly with the savoury, nutty, fine‐grained oak which nevertheless remains unobtrusive. The finish has a pleasant grapefruit‐like tang and the signature length of flavour which shows great persistence. A wine of elegance & finesse." -Winery

This was also rated 88 points by both the Wine Advocate and the International Wine Cellar.
