"A new style of Australian Chardonnay, picked earlier than in the past, then fermented in stainless steel to retain all the fresh fruit flavors and naturally brisk acidity then aged in American and French oak to add a hint of oak character. The wine displays vibrant flavors of peach, apricot with a hint of melon and spice, this wine is drinking beautifully now. A richness of fruit flavors finishes brisk and crisp." -Winery
"The Chardonnay exhibits stone fruit and spice aromas with a richly flavoured palate and a clean, crisp finish. This easy drinking wine is a versatile partner to a wide range of white meats, seafood and salad." -Importer
WINERY:
"For the length of the east coast of Australia are the mountains of the 'Great Dividing Range.' These ranges are the home of the ancient volcanic soils and temperate conditions that allow premium vineyards to thrive. Lismore itself was founded in 1845 by William & Jane Wilson, as a steep & cattle station on Aboriginal land on the northern part of the Great Dividing range. They named this after the town they honeymooned in Scotland. Rich, fertile land was discovered and soon vineyards sprung up along either side of the Great Dividing Range."
"Working with the Berton Family Vineyards in Yenda (on the 'left' side of the Great Dividing Range), these fertile soils and warm conditions with cool nights, are perfect conditions for growing grapes. The Berton Family, originally from Northern Italy, migrated to Australia in the 1930s and established their roots in the Riverina area, with these particular vineyards planted in 1996." -Importer
