Part of a fascinating array of Cabernets from various regions from the Bec Hardy stable. This example, from the Barossa, is absolutely delicious. It provides more grist to the mill of those convinced that Cabernet in the right vintage in the Barossa can thrill. A crowd pleaser and a cracking wine. Love it. Dark maroon hue, the wine is bursting with flavour. Chocolate, beefstock, roast meats, black fruits and bay leaves. The gorgeously structured palate offers a sweet core of dark chocolate. There are soft and satiny tannins. There is a lusciousness to this wine making it generous and approachable plus excellent length. This should offer pleasure for the next six to ten years. And compelling evidence that you do not have to break the bank to drink very well.
