Deep, dark and elegant, this full-bodied wine sips easily despite significant tannins since they are silky and fine-grained. Black cherries, blackberries and blueberries blend with hints of charred oak and iron for a complex, edgy palate. Best from 2028–2038.

Sports tasty flavors of cassis, plum reduction and boysenberry preserves that stay focused and fresh, lined with anise, apple wood and bramble along the way. A bit toasty on the finish, but there's enough fruit to handle it; just let this unwind with some light cellaring. Best from 2024 through 2033. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 5,444 cases made.

Aromas of cassis, plum and wet gravel. Full-bodied with silky, fine tannins. Vibrant and succulent red and purple berries on the palate with sweet spices and herbs. Long finish. Drink or hold.

Much like the Merlot, Whitehall Lane's 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon shows a certain lack of mid-palate richness and concentration. There are some attractive black cherry and cassis notes but also an excess of scorched coffee, maybe even a hint of roasted capsicum. It's medium to full-bodied but not overly concentrated or rich, with a softly dusty finish.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon sports an inky purple color as well as plump, forward style in its ripe black fruits, green herbs, and charcoal aromas and flavors. The tannins here are ripe yet have a firm edge, and I would drink bottles over the coming 5-7 years or so.
