Deep garnet-purple in color, the single-varietal 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Rancho Pequeño is a little subdued to begin, offering glimpses at baked plums, boysenberries, and dried cherries scents plus suggestions of black olives and menthol. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled and refreshing, with nice ripe, grainy tannins and a red berry lift on the energetic finish.
92+ Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Rancho Pequeño Vineyard comes from a site in eastern Oakville. Scents of dark, loamy earth join black cherries on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is smooth and silky in feel, finishing bright and fresh, with a dusting of just-ripe tannins. Representing a less-ripe, fresher style of Napa Cab, it's an elegant, balanced effort.
Product Description:
Dark and intense in nature but still a great time. Blackberry reduction, blackcurrant and blueberry reel you into this powerful wine. The huge amount of fruit on the nose is cut with pencil shavings, gravel and Indian spices. An incredibly sumptuous mouthfeel with loads of glycerol, this wine’s dense texture is mouth coating but supported by a carriage of vibrant acidity. - winery
