The 2016 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is an exuberant, juicy, red-fruit laced example of how Sonoma does Cabernet, and does it well. The nose is a sweetly integrated mingling of cranberry, boysenberry, and red currant, with subtle hints of fresh vanilla bean. In the mouth, the wine’s flavors spread broadly - juicy ripe blueberries, bright red cherries, layered densely over smoky coffee, dark chocolate, and caramelized oak char. The wine is well textured, and finishes with a lovely lingering hint of oak smoke.
