About

"Pepper Bridge in a warm vintage seems almost to double down on its structural prowess; this wine’s tannins bristle in the glass and seem so thick that they feel furry. With air, they relax and start to lengthen, no less powerful but allowing some dark fig flavors to come through. Cellar, then serve with smoked pork."

91 Wine Enthusiast

This wine is 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot & 5% Petit Verdot. The aromas are almost completely shut down at present, with just hints of barrel spice, herb & dark fruit. The fruit flavors are similarly locked up, backed by lightly grainy tannins. There are good things going on but it needs time to reveal itself. Best after 2022.

"Peppery Bridge's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon (83% Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller amounts of Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) is a classic Cabernet that has lots of perfumed herbs, flowers and darker currants and plum fruit. Rich, mouth-filling and beautifully textured, like just about every 2014, it's already drinking nicely, yet it's going to keep for 15+ years."

Product Description:

"Cassis & framboise dominate the nose on this vintage. Exotic Moroccan spice leads to notes of black & blue fruit cobbler. Black currant is front & center on the palate, showing off the brightness of tart fruit with dark undertones, mingling with hints of eucalyptus. The harmonious combination of acidity & rich tannins give this wine a long finish that will stay with you long after you put down your glass." -- Jean-Francois Pellet, Winemaker
