"Intense colour mature cherry of high layer with violet tones. Fruity aroma (plum, blackcurrant liqueur…) that it simultaneously contributes to youth that character, and notes characteristic of soil, everything on the bottom torrefacto that contributes the wood to him. Ample, fleshy and concentrated, good structure. With memories to plum puree and jam. Elegant and round." -Winery

FROM THE WINEMAKER
"I am the winemaker and my husband Manuel is the vineyard manager. I have always been interested in winemaking and love the process. I had a chance to study winemaking in school in my village, but I never felt ready for it until 10 years later. My husband and I bought this 60 hectare winery in Manchuela, in a high altitude area. In fact, we're the second highest winery in all of Spain!"

"After analyzing the soils and the climate, which has warm days and cool nights, we found what grapes were suited to the area: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Merlot, Malbec, and Bobal. Thanks to the poor sandy and stony soils, we get concentrated berries with good fruit, minerality, and good acidity because of the altitude. We started this vineyard in 2000 and are making organic wines. Next year we will be certified organic. Our wines are a labor of love and are meant to express this unique high altitude terroir." -Rosalia Molina

VINEYARDS
"The vineyards are between 7 to 60 years old and are located on a 55 hectare winery at 1050 meters above sea level in Manchuela. This altitude gives the grapes better structure with tannins and good acidity. The vegetation is healthy thanks to the use of no pesticides, as well as the health if the soil, on which only natural treatments are used."

"Each varietal is fermented separately for alcoholic fermentation and is cold macerated over a period of 15-20 days. After pressing the wine, malolactic fermentation occurs in barrel and the wine is then aged over a period of 12 months in the same barrels, made of French and American oak. Blending the wine occurs before bottling." -Winery
