With fruit from the Mayacamas Mountain Range that separates Napa from Sonoma, our Cabernet Franc shows the structure and focus common in high elevation wines. In the glass, the wine exhibits a deep garnet-purple color. On the nose, the wine reveals an earthy, forest floor and truffles notes, with hints of crushed rocks and pencil lead. On the palate, the wine shows a chorus of kirsch, black raspberries, blackberry compote and black cherries with hints of lavender, cedar and wild sage. The full-bodied palate features firm, ripe, grainy tannins providing structure and focus to the wine. The finish is layered with the floral notes, minerality and a hint of sweet oak. Enjoy this wine over the next 5 to 7 years.
