"Sidónio de Sousa, recognized for having amongst the oldest of the baga vines in Bairrada, continues to make wine in the traditional way – using 100 year-old Portuguese oak barriques. Ripe aromatics of ripe dark fruit are followed by hints of green pepper and raisin. The full-bodied palate is complete with grippy tannins, earthy spice and notes of tar. The finish is smooth, earthy and ripe."
