This is youthfully backward upon entry yet deeply complex, with masses of dark red and black fruits braced by vibrant acidity. Hints of mocha and graphite slowly saturate. The 2019 is incredibly long and staining, with fine-grained tannins and a tinge of sour citrus and currants. A resonance of dark chocolate lingers on the finish. The potential here is remarkably high; the 2019 possesses a balance and complexity that will reward cellaring. This is a serious Aglianico del Vulture.
