"Produced from grapes grown in the Northern Negev/Southern Hebron Hills at Kibbutz Kramim (inside pre-'67 Israel) which is near Yatir Mountain. The Syrah vines were 12 years old at the time of harvest in August 2003 and the grapes were hand harvested. The vineyard conditions that summer were typical of the Israeli season, no rain, warm days and cool nights. The Kibbutz uses drip irrigation to feed the vines. Initially fermented in stainless steel, after about six months the wine was transferred to French Oak Barrels for 12 months of aging and then roughly 12 months of additional aging in bottles prior to release. Lush, pronounced fruit with moderate pepper-spice and tannins. Bold finish. May be aged 4-5 years." -Importer
