Lisa Perrotti-Brown - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Fermented with wild yeast, unfined, unfiltered and on its lees until bottling, the 2009 Bin 23 Pinot Noir had 9 months in French barriques, 36% new. Casting a medium-deep ruby color, it has intense framboise and warm strawberry aromas, a bit of cinnamon stick and forest floor. Medium-bodied with a medium level of fine tannins, it has high acidity and a touch astringency coming through in the long finish. Drinking now, it should remain fresh through 2014."
