"Lovely aromas of dried flowers, licorice, blueberry and mineral lead to a full body, with pretty, superracy tannins, plenty of subtle fruit and an ultralong finish. Best after 2012. 275 cases made." 95 points Wine Spectator
"Here's a dark and expertly extracted Brunello Riserva from a beautiful family-run estate located in its own microclimate within the Montalcino denomination. The wine shows intense aromas of blackberry, prune, leather, tobacco and spice." 93 points Wine Enthusiast

"The story of Tenuta Vitanza begun in 1994 when Rosalba Vitanza and her soon to be husband Guido Andretta went for a romantic week-end in Montalcino in province of Siena. They were guest of a friend, now a fellow producer, that told them he was trying to sell the original property in Montalcino to buy a bigger place also in the area. In 1994, they decided to buy this first property, Podere Renaione, a country house built before 1600, together with 4 acres of vineyards, olive trees and fruit trees with the idea of doing some wine for them and their friends. Rosalba took full responsibility of the estate and started to getting into winemaking with the help of a Famous consultant enologist of Siena." -Winery
