Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2009 Bronzinelle red is composed of 43% Syrah, 21% Carignan, 18% Mourvedre and 18% Grenache. It offers copious aromas of garrigue, pepper and black cherries in a medium to full-bodied, rich, authoritative, nicely textured, pure style. Drink this serious red over the next 2-3 years."
"I have followed the wines of this estate over many years and it is unquestionably one of the top producers in the Coteaux du Languedoc. I didn't taste their Picpoul Pinet, which is often one of their more interesting whites."

"Aged for 12 months in older barrels and demi-muid, the 2009 Chateau St Martin de la Garrigue Coteaux du Languedoc Bronzinelle, a blend of 42% Syrah, 26% Grenache, 19% Carignan, and 13% Mourvedre, has a deep, smoky nose of both red and black fruits, licorice, pepper, Provencal herbs, and tobacco. Medium+ bodied on the palate, with a solid richness that comes through in the texture, this impressively balanced 2009 lacks some of the intensity and complexity of the Gres des Montpellier Cuvee, yet is still borderline outstanding and well worth the entry fee. It should drink nicely for 5-6 years."
Product Description:
"The Guidas have certainly left their mark on the property. In addition to extensive renovations in the chateau and the reconstruction of a new cellar and winery, the Guidas hired Jean-Claude Zabalia, one of the region's most talented winemakers, to manage the vineyards and oversee the cellars. Together, they have brought this domaine to new heights, making wines that are sold in over twenty-eight different countries. They plant sixteen different varietals. While most of their vineyards are planted to red grapes, they are also known for their deliciously fresh white, Picpoul de Pinet. Andrew Jefford, author of The New France, raves, 'Perhaps the best wine for me is an astonishing Picpoul de Pinet, picked very late from low-yielding vines: those who consider this an inarticulate if refreshing choice, the Muscadet of the Midi, should try this mint-and-verbena-scented, powerfully lemony wine.' KLWM Salesperson Lori Varsames has written of the domaine, 'White or red, rose or Cuvee Reservee, everything coming from Chateau St Martin de la Garrigue offers up incredible value.' Be sure to try Cuvee La Bronzinelle - it is the perfect wine for barbecue." -Importer
