"The 2008 Regnie 'Grain et Granit' from Charles Theevenet is a beautiful example of the vintage and one of the best bottles from this cru that I have had the pleasure to taste in the last several years. The bouquet is really lovely, as it jumps from the glass in a vibrant mélange of cherries, pomegranate, a touch of blood orange, woodsmoke, lavender, soil and spice. On the palate the wine is medium-full, long and pure, with great intensity of flavor, bright acids, lovely focus and excellent length and grip on the very classy finish. This lovely bottle should have no difficulties aging for at least the next decade, but it is so good to drink out of the blocks that I cannot imagine having the self- control to age this beauty. 2010-2020."
