2007 vina honda monastrell
"100% Monastrell, the vineyards produce less than 2 Kg. per vine. Harvest was in the first and second week of October. Traditional fermentation at controlled temperature between 26/28 C. Traditional maceration for 9 to 10 days. Tasting notes: Red cherry colour with hints of purple on the rim. Elegant aromas of red fruits; on the palate it is balanced and well structured, fruity and fresh, with a pleasant finish." -Winemaker

"Grapes come from 25-30 year old vines that yield less than 2 kilos per plant. Harvest was conducted over the first weeks of October. The monastrell is fermented in a traditional manner in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and skins macerate for between 9 to 10 days depending on the lot. Gentle pump overs and a pneumatic press were used to minimize harsh tannins. This wine was not aged in oak barrels. " - Importer
