Wine and Color

Color of wine is a visual way of describing wine. The main 3 colors are Red, White and Pink or Rose. Orange has also become common in the past few years. Ruby is a very common shade of red, garnet and violet or purple are common.

The red color in wine comes from a pigment called anthocyanin. Anthocyanin is present in many other fruits, including plums, blueberries, and cherries.
