Sweet Wine

Dry wines have less than 1% residual sugar. For sweet wines, the residual sugar is above 20%. The length of time used in the fermentation process is the most significant determinant of whether the wine is regarded as dry or sweet. Riesling and Muscat (or Moscato) are well-known wines that can be sweet. Dessert wines like Port are sweet.
