The Finger Lakes wine region is a well-respected top wine-producing area in New York State.

The area consists of 3 main lakes - Keuka, Seneca and Cayuga.

Due to the cooler climate, the grapes that thrive are Riesling and Gewurztraminer for whites. The reds are Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.

Many other grapes are grown there, and is a wine region worth exploring.
