2022 Chateau Fleur Cardinale
94-96 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
One of the finest vintages to date for this estate, possibly eclipsing the 2016, the 2022 Château Fleur Cardinale offers a medium to full-bodied, seamless, incredibly elegant and balanced profile that brings beautiful richness in its ripe black raspberry and cassis fruits as well as some spicy, floral, and herbal nuances. Balanced and nicely concentrated, with ripe tannins, it does everything right in the vintage.
95-96 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Plenty of ripe berry and currant character with some freshly cut black cherries. Hints of chocolate. Medium body with firm tannins and a flavorful finish. Yet all in reserve. Crunchy.
94 Jane Anson - Inside Bordeaux
These guys know how to combine intensity and lift, and here they capture the exuberance and exoticism of the spice and fruit character of 2022 wiyhout going overboard. This is big but has enjoyable floral character and chalky tannins, needs some time in bottle to soften, but there is juice and punch.
94 Georgina Hindle - Decanter
Floral flecks with ripe black fruits on the nose. Straight and linear, concentrated but kept in check by fine and firm tannins that keep the frame relatively narrow and focused from start to finish. Nice purity and clarity of elements with cool blueberries alongside slate, liquorice and crushed stones giving the mineral nuance. Still has tension so you're not getting much width at this point but everything is presented so nicely and formally, all in its place with high acidity making it such an appealing, friendly and drinkable wine. Great stuff from this estate that continues to impress. Yield 38hl/ha. Harvest 19-30 September. Ageing 12-14 months, 72% new French oak barrels, 18% one wine, 7% 30hl foudres, 3% 750l amphora. 3.6pH. Bee friendly. Jean-Philippe fort consultant.
90-92 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2022 Fleur Cardinale is soft, open and forthcoming. Dark fruit, chocolate, sweet spice, leather and licorice all open nicely. There's good depth but less in the way of energy or excitement. All the elements are very well balanced. Perhaps I caught this on a quiet day. Tasted two times.

2023 Bedrock Zinfandel Old Vine
93 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
The 2023 Zinfandel Old Vine was raised in 600-gallon foudre with a small proportion (8%) in new oak, and it’s roughly 90% Zinfandel along with an eclectic field mix. The nose opens to bright peppery spice, fresh cut flowers, and black raspberries, with deeper notes of fresh sanguine earth coming through. The palate is full-bodied yet restrained, with a detailed structure and length with a mountainous feel. It’s a great lens into the range they produce here at Bedrock and a tremendous value. Drink 2025-2032.
92 Wine Spectator
Sleek and juicy, with fan-friendly cherry, raspberry, toasty spice and briar accents that glide on the zesty finish. Drink now through 2033. 8,000 cases made.
91 Erin Brooks - Robert Parker's the Wine Advocate
The 2023 Zinfandel Old Vine comes from vines averaging 80 years old, and Bedrock farms the fruit for about 75% of this blend. It has expressive aromas of wild berries, licorice, earth and spice. The medium-bodied palate is rounded and smooth with a balance of concentrated, mineral-driven fruit and vibrant acidity, and it has a long, nuanced finish.

2023 Bedrock Heritage Red Dolinsek Ranch
96 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
"The 2023 Dolinsek Ranch Heritage Wine is a wild, exotic wine. Red cherry, kirsch, apricot, mint, blood orange, spice, rose petal and sweet spice all grace this layered, silky Zinfandel-based field blend from vines planted in 1910. The presence of some white grapes adds character. The Dolinsek is such a distinctive wine, one that truly soars in 2023."
94 Erin Brooks - Robert Parker's the Wine Advocate
"The 2023 Zinfandel Dolinsek Ranch Heritage comes from Zinfandel vines interplanted in 1910 with smaller portions of Alicante Bouschet, Barbera, Syrah, Black Muscat and other varieties. From grapes harvested very late on October 13, it has inviting aromas of red and black cherries and berries, wildflowers and spice. The medium-bodied palate features concentrated yet detailed flavors. It’s framed by soft, silky tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a long, spicy finish. It opens dramatically with air and will benefit from 3-5 years in the cellar."

93 Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Year in and year out, one of the most exotic, flamboyant, and sexiest cuvees in the d'Arenberg portfolio is The Laughing Magpie Shiraz/Viognier. The 2005 exhibits a spring flower garden-like character interwoven with blackberries, creme de cassis, melted licorice, and sweet, toasty new oak. Opulent and voluptuous, with silky tannin, and a plump, fleshy, rich, full-bodied personality, this offering is meant to be consumed over the next 5-8 years."
