2024 G.B. Burlotto Barbera D'alba Barbera from Italy
#151194 750 mL
2024 G.B. Burlotto Barbera D'alba
91 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2024 Barbera d'Alba is another stellar entry-level wine from Burlotto. Dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, sage and mocha caress the palate. Fabio Alessandria did not bottle Aves, his top Barbera; instead, all of the fruit was used for this bottling. As a result, the 2024 is especially strong. Stylistically, there is a touch of new oak from the Aves lots that went into the blend.

Sliced lemons, struck match, grapefruit, salted nuts and crushed stones on the nose. The taut, midweight palate has mouthwatering acidity and generous underlying power. This wine will benefit from some time in the bottle, though delicious now. Drink or hold.

2023 Ridge Lytton Springs Proprietary Red Blend from United States
#151250 750 mL
2023 Ridge Lytton Springs Proprietary Red
95 Billy Norris - Vinous Media
The 2023 Lytton Springs is powerfully aromatic and expressive from the jump. It explodes from the glass with dark blue fruit, lavender and blood orange peel, framed by mocha-like richness and a wave of exotic spice. The texture is pure silk, wrapping the palate with seamless contours and lifted freshness courtesy of the cool growing season. A blend of 76% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Sirah, 7% Carignane, 2% Alicante Bouschet and 1% Mataro, the 2023 shows remarkable persistence and poise. If you know Lytton, you know these wines can age for decades—this one is clearly built for the long haul.
94 Erin Brooks - Robert Parker's the Wine Advocate
The 2023 Lytton Springs is a blend of 76% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Sirah, 7% Carignane, 2% Alicante Bouschet and 1% Mataro that matured for 16 months in 19% new air-dried American oak. It’s especially elegant and expressive this year, offering pure aromas of black cherry, blueberry, damp earth, sage, violet and cast iron. The full-bodied palate features concentrated, fragrant flavors. It’s framed by fine, chalky tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long finish replete with soaring floral perfume. It should be long lived in the cellar.

This wine is richly structured, with fine tannins from both the fruit and wood aging. The wine's power is mitigated by juicy black-currant flavors and the great ripeness. Drink this wine from 2024.

2020 Bussola Valpolicella Superiore Ca Del Laito Ripasso
90 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
The 2020 Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore Ca' del Laito has an enticing bouquet that combines sweet sage and lavender with allspice, clove and dried black cherry. It is soothingly round and pliant, with juicy acidity and bright red berry fruit offset by a twang of sour citrus. Long yet incredibly fresh, the 2020 tapers off with rosy inner florals and a hint of nectarine, which I find wildly attractive.

2015 Dom Perignon Brut Champagne Blend from France
#143512 750 mL
2015 Dom Perignon Brut Champagne
97 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
A super-complex Champagne with chewy tension. Aromas of coffee beans, lemon peel, burnt sugar, chalky minerality, barley candy and tarte tatin. Fine pinprick bubbles with flavors of lemon leaves, aspirin and Mirabelle plums, plus a touch of grapefruit bitterness keeping the tension. Zesty yet integrated chewy acidity and a medium body with a toasted finish. Drink of hold.
96 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2015 Dom Pérignon is terrific. Bright and poised, the 2015 shows terrific energy. Citrus peel, white flowers, mint, white pepper and slate all race across the palate. There's gorgeous tension and backbone here, with bright saline notes that extend the mid-palate and finish. This is a fine showing in a vintage that has proven to be tricky. I am intrigued to see how the 2015 develops in the coming years.
96 Wine Spectator
There's a well-spiced, zesty edge to the flavors of glazed apple, mandarin orange peel, pink grapefruit pith and crème de cassis as they ride the finely detailed mousse of this fresh, focused Champagne. This vivid display is enriched by notes of canelé pastry, chopped almond, pastry cream, smoke and vanilla, all coming to the forefront through the midpalate and chiming on the lasting finish. Drink now through 2035.

96 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
The 2015 Dom Perignon pours a bright straw/yellow color and is expressive and layered on the nose with a tropical profile in its notes of cantaloupe, peach, fresh pastry, smokey wet stones, and orange blossoms. Medium to full-bodied, it offers a rounded and ripe but very well-detailed feel, with a soft, chalky texture. This was a very successful vintage for Dom Perignon, producing wines that retain a great deal of clarity and detail in this warm vintage. Drink over the coming 20 years.
96 J. D'Angelo - International Wine Report
The 2015 Dom Perignon is a beautiful showing marked by its finesse and vibrant character. It opens with a mesmerizing bouquet of lemon curd and green pear, intertwined with notes of orange zest, toasted brioche, crushed almonds, and hints of ginger and chalky minerality. The palate is impeccably balanced, showcasing a lively mousse and refreshing acidity that frames the rich flavors of citrus, orchard fruits, and subtle hazelnut. A touch of salinity adds depth, leading to a long, elegant finish with lingering notes of white flowers and flinty undertones. This vintage offers exceptional complexity now but also promises further refinement with some additional aging.

96 Wine Enthusiast
This is a glorious icewine where acidity and sugar are in perfect harmony. The candied orange peel, ginger, straw and toasted walnut and straw are a mere preview of what's to come. These intense flavors of apricot jam, pumpkin pie and lemon drops are matched by electric acidity. Enjoy now until 2035. #65 ON THE Top 100 Cellar Selections 2023
95 Owen Bargreen - OwenBargreen.com
This beautiful 2021 Icewine has a whopping 380G/L residual sugar. Papaya and roasted pineapple alongside juicy peach and hints of bananas foster on the palate. The tension of the wine as well as weight really drives things forward. Beautiful now, this will live on for another twenty plus years to come.
92 Wine Advocate - Wine Advocate
The 2021 Riesling Ice Wine is unoaked and comes in with 219 grams of residual sugar, 10.2 of total acidity and 9.5% alcohol. This is from a year that the winery calls "one of the most challenging harvests on record," due to rainfall around harvest time by table wine standards. The Riesling harvest was a couple of months later, in early January 2022. A strict selection caused lower quantities to be produced, although the winery says with "high quality." Indeed, this seems fresh and lively, with a surprisingly perky feel and a juicy finish. It's on the elegant side this year, not necessarily a bad thing, but it still tastes great. It has the freshness to allow it to age well, so there is no rush. I loved the tangy finish. If you must drink it young, you'll get waves of peaches and apricots (leaning more to peach this year), and it will taste great. Best After 2022
