"This shows real Sonoma Coast character in its silky texture, strong acidity and transparency of its raspberry and cherry notes, which allow for a mineral-driven taste of the soil to shine. The wine improves in the glass as it airs, picking up extra layers of complexity. - S.H." (12/12)

Product Description:

Winemaker:
"Japanese-native Nori Nakamura was first introduced to fine wine at a young age while working at his uncle's Italian restaurant in Tokyo. During a graduation trip to Italy, Nori tasted a phenomenal 1981 Barbaresco. It was a defining moment in his young life, and set him on a path towards a career in winemaking. He earned a sommelier certification, before transferring from Tokyo to California to assume the role of catering manager at the prestigious Hotel Nikko San Francisco."

"His subsequent experiences in wine country further fueled his passion, leading to cellar positions at Koves-Newlan and Pine Ridge Vineyards, and a degree in winemaking from the renowned program at the University of California at Davis. Most recently, he held the position of assistant winemaker at Artesa Vineyards & Winery, where he honed his skills at producing expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Reata's signature varietals." - Winery

Reata:
"Reata at Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is the southernmost winery in the Napa Valley, one of the world’s foremost winemaking regions. The estate's more than 300 acres of gently rolling hills and terraced vineyards benefit from the cooling fog and breezes from the nearby San Pablo Bay, climatic conditions that favor the production of exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay."

"The unique architecture of Reata at Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is reminiscent of a majestic western mountain lodge, replete with soaring ceilings, seating around a cozy fireplace, an observation gallery overlooking the barrel room and production area, and a spectacular wraparound veranda that affords sweeping views of the Napa Valley and San Pablo Bay." - Winery
