"Brilliant yellow-gold. Ripe orchard & pit fruits on the expressive nose & in the mouth; honey & nougat nuances build in the glass. In a fleshy, generous style, displaying supple texture & a long, slightly sweet finish that leaves a peach nectar note behind. I'd plan on drinking this lush Condrieu on the young side, for its abundant fruit.---Josh Raynolds
Product Description:
"The “Ceps du Nébadon” vineyard is set on several south facing hillsides in AOC Condrieu. On these hillsides, terraces are supported by dry stone walls, and the soil is composed of granite, schist, mica, and quartz (high acid soils that minimize acidity levels in the grapes). These soils also retain heat well, allowing the grape to reach full maturity on these steep Northern Rhône hillsides, producing an aromatic wine with a generous, full-bodied feel.
100% Viognier vines grow on these steep slopes, where yields are by necessity low, and a green harvest is practiced to maximize fruit health. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and sorted at the vineyard.
Aged on its fine lees in new oak casks, this wine has exotic tropical fruit aromas and a charming, memorable taste. Like a thousand-faced diamond, it shimmers a pale yellow-gold, with a great nose showing subtle hints of wildflowers and a much-appreciated density in mouth lasting through the rioch long finish... Recommended with Foie Gras, noble fishes, goat cheese." - Importer
