"Beatriz Herranz, aged 33, is a young woman that everyone would like to come across on the road of life. She’s resolute, simple and pure. It’s incredible to walk with her in the middle of her vineyards, see her excitement, and understand how genuine her passion is.

She studied agronomy at university. Afterwards, her first project was to recover old vineyards in Cebreros, near Avila, in the mountains. Beatriz produced her first wine here from old, ungrafted vines. It was called “Fabula.” After this first experience, she came back to La Seca, her family village, where she owns some vineyards. This is where Barco del Corneta started. She kicked it off with the 2011 vintage and devoted all of her production to Verdejo.
