Very nice complex and powerful wine with lots of volume in the mouth. The finish is exceptionally long. Pairs well with red meat, game and stews....

A smoking, character filled effort from the south of France, the 2011 Languedoc Saint Christol Cuvee Selectionnee is a blend of mostly Syrah, and a splash of Grenache, that offers up plenty of black cherry liqueur, liquid flowers, resinous herbs and hints of underbrush to go with a medium-bodied, balanced and beautifully pure profile on the palate. It’s unfortunate that there’s no current American importer for this, as it’s superb. Enjoy bottles over the coming 7-8 years. Drink 2014-2022
