Huon Hooke - www.huonhooke.com
Bright, light, greenish yellow colour. The bouquet is riper and more interesting than Twin Islands, with some gooseberry as well as passionfruit, feijoa, lemon and lime. It has a lively intensity, high acid, and is fine and less 'pretty', but focused and long. Clean, dry, penetrating finish. Very good.

Pale, green-tinged yellow. Complex aromas of gooseberry, lime blossom and white pepper, along with a suggestion of leesy reduction. Supple, round and ripe, offering varietally expressive flavors without any sharpness. Quite pliant in the middle, but with lemon, lime and pepper flavors also giving the wine good definition and energy. Finishes bright and dry, with an element of salty minerality complicating grapefruit and lemon on the subtly dusty, persistent finish. No shortage of flavor here.

At this early stage of the wine’s evolution, it shows some slightly pungent, sweaty notes, but they’re balanced by ample ripe passion fruit aromas and flavors. It’s medium in weight, with an attractively structured mouthfeel, and a bright, lengthy finish that echoes with grapefruit.
