A tight and structured Chianti Classico with aromas and flavors of dark berries, dark chocolate and walnuts. Full-bodied and muscular. Needs three to four years to soften. Better in 2021.

The 2015 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione from Renieri is laced with dark cherry, plum, new leather, tobacco and menthol. A touch of new oak adds volume and breath as the wine builds to its substantial, resonant finish. The 2015 is very nicely done.

Product Description:

Tenuta di Renieri is located in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga. The property, contiguous with the Castello di Bossi vineyards, is 60 hectares, with 22 of which are planted with vineyards and specialised in Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva. Facing south, the vineyards are planted in soils that vary from yellow clays to tuff, with ample mixture of rounded pebbles, which ensure good and natural drainage.
