About

Product Description:

"Grown on pristine Berglagen, this wine is characterized by fine Steinobstanklänge and delicate flower aromas. A fine Riesling with a clear variety typicity." - Winery

"Certified sustainable. Sourced from high-altitude terraces in Stein and Krems. From the youngest Riesling vines of the estate, up to 25 years. Planted on primary rock (gneiss) terraces overlooking the Danube. Hand-harvested, destemmed, and pressed. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel with native yeasts. Aged on the lees in steel until bottling in February.

For the last 226 years, Salomon Undhof has produced white wines from the best terraced sites along the Danube. Crystal clear wines with fine minerality.

The style of Salomon Undhof wines is an alliance between character, balance and harmony. Wines meant to be drunk young are fresh and subtle; wines for keeping acquire with age a luscious complexity. The winery is situated in the the eastern part of the “cultural world heritage site”, Wachau, with the appellation Kremstal DAC. Salomon Undhof is founding member of the association Traditionsweingüter Österreich." - Importer

“Bert Salomon is on a roll, having over the past several years achieved increasingly consistent and impressive results at what was already among the Kremstal’s longstanding best addresses, not to mention among the area’s historical leaders and earliest estate-bottlers of Riesling.”— David Schildknecht
