"A slight reduction amplifies the fresh and citrus-driven bouquet of grass, spices and smoke. The wine is packed with intense fruity flavors and juicy yellow peach on the palate. Smoky notes of aniseed fruits bring complexity to the still rather sweet finish. There is however a good underlying structure of acidity which only waits for mingling into the fruity structure of this impressive Kabinett at maturity! 2023-2035." Reviewed August 2016.
The Dhron river is a tributary in a side valley located north of Trittenheim and south of Piesport. Adam's holdings are located in cooler portions of the Hofberg where the river flows heading away from the Mosel and into the Hünsruck hills. Adam also just recently restored a portion of the Hofberg planted in 1973 that was the last remaining terraced portion of the vineyard.
