"This fresh white displays a lively mix of ripe apple and lemon-lime flavors. Very minerally in the midpalate, which carries through to the long finish, with hints of smoke. Drink now through . 500 cases made." (2011)

"Light in body, with a fine backbone of taut acidity, this is a throwback to a time when spatleses were slightly drier than today. Delicate scents of crushed stone and pressed flowers are underscored by hints of green apple and lime. This would make a fine aperitif on its own, or could perhaps partner subtle seafood dishes. -JC" (06/11)
Product Description:
"Bouquet of apples and pears with a dusting of nutmeg. Fruit on the palate a little more tropical, well balanced by a citric acidity. Juicy and zesty with a spicy afterthought. Spatlese as we used to know it. Drink 2010 to 2016. (MS)" 16.5 out of 20 points, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages (06/10)
WINERY:
"Having studied viticulture, the wine production is of special importance to us. In line with our philosophy, we avoid high yields in favour of the best possible quality and combine both traditional and modern wine-making methods. The meticulous selection of the grapes, gentle pressing and slow, temperature-controlled fermentation serve to preserve freshness, primary fruit aromas and bouquet. Using gentle filtration and a continuous monitoring of the development in a cask, wines of varying sweetnes are produced which are rich in extract, elegant and which show fine fruit."
"All of our wines are 100% Riesling. The finefruit acidity of the Riesling grape and the gentle wine-making are warrants for fresh and fruity, finely structured wines with great maturing potential over many, many years. Studert-Prum wines achieve highest awards at national and international competitions." -Winery
