The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru is matured in 30% new oak. It has an opulent, showy bouquet with layers of black cherry, crème de cassis and violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip and tension and quite structured for a Chambolle, displaying impressive tension toward the vivid finish. Give it three to five years in bottle, because it has a long future.
