Product Description:

Like the Sauvignon Blanc, Georg has Pinot Noir vines planted in the early 1980s and 1990s in Rheinberg (quartz) and Kapellenberg (slate), mainly from the lower sections where loess soil predominates. Harvested end of September, the vineyards are treated more like vineyards for white wine, emphasizing freshness and lower alcohol levels. No herbicides or chemical fertilizers are used in farming, and various cover crops are used for adding nutrients to the soils as well as for aeration.
