"(20% new French oak) Deep vivid red. Fresh cherry, black raspberry, candied rose and a touch of musky underbrush on the nose, joined by slowly emerging woodsmoke and vanilla accents. Silky, seamless and energetic in the mouth, offering bitter cherry, red berry and mocha flavors that deepen and become sweeter on the back half. Fine-grained tannins give shape to a very long, smoke-tinged finish that strongly echoes the red fruit and floral notes."

"This wine has the classic medium ruby color of true Pinot Noir. It’s not one of those dark monsters trying to act like Syrah. The aroma has that “what is it?” character that only Pinot Noir possesses. It’s a bit like raspberry mixed with generous amounts of confectionary scents that read somewhat like cinnamon and vanilla. There’s a floral hint as well as some herbal tension pushing against the fruit notes. The flavors are clean and consistent with the aromas. Tannin texture is soft and grainy in a way that will work very well with food." - Winery
