About

88-90

The 2014 Chambolle Musigny, which includes the domaine's 0.07 hectares pocket in Sentiers and includes around 20% new oak, has a crisp, airy, fresh strawberry and Morello-scented bouquet. The palate is well balanced with good weight for a village cru, with the fruit a little dark here with black plum and a touch of cassis, as well as a little roundeur towards the finish -- completing a very commendable Chambolle village.

Product Description:

Red cherry fruit, crisp yet sensual with a glint of minerals. Overall though this is a voluptuous, juicy and smoothly textured wine. The length of flavour is most surprising for a village and their is a fine underlying acidity to balance the ripe hedgerow berry flavours. The result of a blend of 13 parcels aged predominantly in used oak barriques.
