John Gilman - View from the Cellar
"The Corton “Rognet” can often be quite black fruity in the Méo cellars, but in 2013 this wine is very red fruity in personality. The superb bouquet offers up a mélange of cherries, blood orange, stony soil tones, venison, woodsmoke, fresh herbs, coffee and spicy oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very, very transparent, with excellent mid-palate concentration, ripe and beautifully integrated tannins, tangy acids and outstanding focus on the very long and classy finish. Another superb wine. 2023-2075."
