"Showing fabulously well, the 2012 Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard is a nearly 1,000-case cuvee with a deep ruby color, a big, sweet kiss of raspberries, black cherries and forest floor as well as a floral note. Its beautiful texture, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, stunning purity, length and richness make for a superb Pinot Noir to drink over the next 5-6 years. " (10/13)

"Good deep red. Dark aromas of blackberry, licorice and violet are perked up by notes of tangy pomegranate, orange zest and rose petal. Juicy, silky and penetrating, displaying superb purity and intensity to its youthful black fruit, forest floor and violet flavors. Tight, backward and very structured, with the concentration and balance for a graceful evolution in bottle. This Hyde-Calera clone gives very small clusters, noted winemaker James Hall, and the production in 2012 was a moderate three tons per acre." (06/14)

Product Description:

Tasting Notes:
"What a vintage for Hyde! This wine is super-fresh and dynamic, with brilliant layers of pure Bing cherry, cranberry, raspberry and orange zest. While there is a vivid brightness and clarity to the high-toned fruit, there are also deeper notes of mocha and forest floor that add nuance and intrigue. While the tannins are abundant, they are smooth and supple and seem to fuse completely with the fruit, flowing to a finish that goes on and on." - Winery

Winemaking:
"100% Pinot Noir; Multi-yeast fermentations (wild & cultured); 10% whole clusters; 100% malo-lactic fermentation in barrel; 60% new Burgundian French oak barrels; Bottled without fining or filtration" - Winery
