"The 2011 Evenstad Reserve was aged in French oak for 13 months prior to bottling in April 2013. This has a smoky nose with cinnamon and red currant aromas. Lithe and mineral drive, there are flavors of red cherry and raspberry with vanilla and light tannins. This has pretty good weight considering the coolness of the vintage. The wine opens up after roughly two hours of decanting. This is a wine that will benefit from some time in the bottle." (Best 2017-2027) - September, 2015 (

"Light and elegantly crafted, this iconic release is the textbook example of well-made cool-vintage Oregon Pinot Noir. It’s aromatic, floral and sillky. The tangy berry fruit is clean and ripe, though definitely on the lighter side. Pretty berry and cherry flavors are set against tart acids, with just a touch of milk chocolate from barrel aging."
