John Gilman - View from the Cellar
"The 2011 Chambolle AC is a lovely wine, and perhaps as fine an example as one can find this year of a village wine in this lovely commune. The vibrant and very pure bouquet offers up a mix of cherries, red plums, a touch of cocoa, a lovely base of minerality, violets and just a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, fullish and very pure, with a fine core, lovely soil signature, bright acids and lovely bounce and focus on the long and very modestly tannic finish. This is really a lovely village wine. 2018-2035+."
