"Smooth, round and generous with its blueberry, plum and dusky spice flavors, offering a velvety mouthful of tightly focused, complex flavors, veering toward welcome mineral notes on the finish. Needs time to expand those characteristics in the bottle. Best from 2011 through 2016. 1,600 cases made. -HS" (10/10)

"This is estate-grown, a mix of five Pinot Noir clones, from an excellent vintage. Perfumed and showing floral and berry accents, the wine hits the palate like a soft, wet kiss. Light and gentle, yet penetrating and seductive, the tannins have been nicely managed and keep the wine, as the winery notes, "disturbingly quaffable." - PG" (10/10)
Product Description:
Wine:
"Sweet black cherry and raspberry flavors with a hint of licorice and cola. Fine, soft tannic structure." - Winery
From The Winemaker:
"This wine included all 5 clones we grow: 115, 777, 114, 667 and Pommard. The grapes were harvested over a leisurely 2 weeks starting October 1. The Brix ranged from 24.5-25.5 with TAs between 6 and 7.
The tremendous fruit set was cropped down hard and we still pulled in 2.7 tons/acre. The grapes were 100% destemmed and wild yeast fermented in 1.3 ton bins. The wine was aged in 30% new wood for 10 months. The free run was blended and 1,700 cases were bottled."
"August 2009: The soft fine tannins have integrated with sweet black cherry flavor and spices. The wine is drinking well now but will hold up for 5-7 years." - Winery
Eola Hills:
"The Eola Hills region of the Willamette Valley is famous for deeply colored and richly flavored Pinot Noir. We found a hilly, rocky site there in 1995, exactly what we wanted for this temperamental but rewarding grape, and began planting a vineyard that would yield the quintessential Pinot Noir." - Winery
