"Aged in botte grande for one year, the 2010 Nero d’Avola Schietto is a very quirky and unpredictable wine that will not appeal to everyone. Some may find its grand boldness problematic as well as the overwhelming nature of its aromas. The bouquet opens to candied cherry, Asian spice, church incense, wet earth, and espresso syrup. The mouthfeel is extremely thick and opulent. It will be interesting to see where the wine's evolution takes it three to four years from now. Drink 2015-2020. "
